The Healthy Nail Challenge Rules
WHEN:
Any 3 weeks between July 26th and August 31st 2017 when you can commit to practicing replacing biting/picking routines. (This is an ongoing process that will likely be a part of your life forever as you continue to replace biting/picking with healthy nail habits.)
WHO:
Anyone who has struggled with nail/skin biting and/or picking.
While purchase is not necessary to participate, we DO recommend you gather some tools to help support you in building new behaviors (as outlined in the Nail Bite Video with Ana and Kirsten).
Recommended Nail Bite/Pick Kit Items
- ❤︎ Simply Pure™ Hydrating Nail Oil Starter Kit (or another jojoba based nail oil to help hydrate your nails and skin)

Other Recommended Items:
- ❤︎ Small makeup bag or pencil pouch to keep your supplies in that will fit in your purse or bag so you can always keep your toolkit with you
- ❤︎ Baby/Infant nail clippers (please use caution with these - if you have severe picking tendencies, these may not be an appropriate tool for you and could contribute to excessive picking.) You can find these on Amazon, department stores, and sometimes even the Dollar Store.
- ❤︎ Fidget toys or other items that will help you keep your hands busy to replace picking habits.

Do the Initial Hydration Treatment for 3 days anytime between
July 26th and August 31st, 11:59 Pacific Time
- ❤︎ Keep your bite/pick supplies in a makeup bag or other container that is easy for you to put in your purse or backpack so you can always have it with you. This is an important step toward success.
- ❤︎ File down your nails. Keep rough/jagged edges filed and smooth.
- ❤︎ GENTLY trim any “hangnails” (any dead, hanging skin on the sides of your nails) - BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT CUT LIVE SKIN. We recommend infant nail clippers. You can get these at most department stores like Target or on Amazon.
- ❤︎ Take photos of your nails throughout the 21 days of your healthy nail challenge.
Post BEFORE and AFTER photos on on the Bliss Kiss™ Nail Biting-Picking Group
or your Instagram account with a description of your experience.
